Ms. Albavera has taught Spanish, Grade 2, and Grade 4 at Hamlin. She was born and raised in Marin and Sonoma counties. After going to college in Tacoma, Washington, she was happy to return to the California sunshine in 2014. She is passionate about social and racial justice and is pursuing a Master’s in Human Rights Education from the University of San Francisco. She enjoys learning about other cultures, justice movements, and counternarratives that she can then share with her students.
When Jessica is not teaching or learning, you will find her drinking coffee, reading a variety of genres of books, and playing soccer. She loves the color periwinkle, glitter, and laughing loudly.
