Katrina Madsen has taught Humanities, English, and a variety of subjects to students in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1988. She grew up in the South Bay and has been a resident of San Francisco for the duration of her career. Traveling to do service and to understand the world is one of Katrina’s passions. She did her student teaching in Dublin, Ireland; traveled to China to support adult learners; traveled to South Africa to lead educator workshops for “Teach With Africa”; worked at a children’s camp in Mexico; and has traveled in Japan, Guatemala, Panama, and Spain.
Outside of school, Katrina loves to read, spend time with family and friends, hike, bike ride, camp, and participate in ways to make the world a better place. Katrina earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English as well as her teaching credentials from University of California, Chico and her Masters degree in Education from San Francisco State University.
