Lisa Lau Aquino ’81 is a proud graduate of The Hamlin School. She attended Lowell High School then went on to U.C. Berkeley. Lisa holds a B.A. in Developmental Psychology and a Minor in Education. Lisa’s daughter, who now works at Hamlin in our Extended Day Program, is also a proud “Hamlin girl.”
Lisa returned to Hamlin 35 years ago to teach. In 2002, after 16 years amazing year in the classroom, she became the Director of Admission. Lisa is deeply passionate about Hamlin’s Mission and Creed and is honored to play a role in shaping our incredibly diverse and inclusive community.
For 13 years, Lisa was a member of the Board of Holy Family Day Home, a preschool in San Francisco’s Mission district that serves primarily low income and homeless children. Lisa continues to remain involved at the preschool as an Emeritus member of the Board. Lisa was also the founding President of the Bay Area Directors of Admission, a consortium of well over 100 independent schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lisa is committed to supporting and mentoring admissions colleagues locally and across the nation and recently served on the Board of the Association of Independent School Admission Professionals (AISAP).
