Ed’s passion is living at the intersection of technology, innovation, and creativity, where you’ll find him building new web and mobile applications and experimenting with new formats for storytelling. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, studying systems science engineering. There, Ed learned the art of building whole solutions for complex systems. He has spent most of his career at enterprise software companies such as Peoplesoft and Primavera and joined Salesforce 14 years ago as a product manager, marketer, and creative lead.
At Hamlin, Ed serves as Co-Chair of the Technology Advisory Council, taking an active role in the school’s STEMming the Gender Gap (#STEMGenderGap) initiative. In addition, he serves on the Council of Advisors for the Freedom Forum, which raises awareness of First Amendment freedoms through education, advocacy, and action.
Ed grew up in the small community of Williamsburg, Virginia. Twenty-six years ago while living and working on the East Coast, he visited San Francisco for the first time and instantly fell in love with the city. He moved the very next summer. He and his wife Jennifer live in San Francisco where they are proudly raising 2 strong Hamlin girls (Class of 2025 and 2028).

By the end of their first year, they were navigating the early onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and faced a pivotal decision: whether to move forward with our bold and transformative campus construction project amid profound global uncertainty.
