Bill Schwidder is a Boston native with a BA from Portland State University and an MBA from Babson College. Bill is an Operating Executive at TPG Capital, specializing in go-to-market strategy, revenue growth, and margin optimization for TPG’s portfolio companies.
Before his role at TPG, Bill held several leadership positions in go-to-market strategy at emerging businesses and large enterprises, consistently demonstrating his ability to foster growth and innovation.
Outside of his professional sphere, Bill is a committed community member. For the past five years, he has been an active member of the Community Advisory Council (CAC), serving as co-chair for the past two years. The CAC, a group of Hamlin trustees, non-trustee parents, and administrators, works towards cultivating a more vibrant and inclusive community for Hamlin students and families. Bill’s involvement in the CAC reflects his values of diversity, authenticity, compassion, and respect, as outlined in the community statement.
Bill and his wife, Sierra, have a daughter Adella (Hamlin Class of ’27), and son Cole (Town Class of ’29).
These trustees—my peers, colleagues, and friends—joined the board in 2019. By the end of their first year, they were navigating the early onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and faced a pivotal decision: whether to move forward with our bold and transformative campus construction project amid profound global uncertainty.
