PLAID Black Cultural Celebration

Come celebrate Black History Month with us at PLAID’s Black Cultural Celebration on Thursday, February 2 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Dining Room! This free family event will feature food, music, education, and dance organized by Hamlin parents and students. All are welcome and encouraged to attend! PLAID’s mission is to support a vibrant and inclusive environment in which all members of the community can celebrate their authentic selves. They foster connections through family programs, cultural celebrations, and community dialogues.
These trustees—my peers, colleagues, and friends—joined the board in 2019. By the end of their first year, they were navigating the early onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and faced a pivotal decision: whether to move forward with our bold and transformative campus construction project amid profound global uncertainty.
