Andy Taylor-Fabe graduated from the University of Michigan Residential College with Highest Honors with a B.A. in Arts and Ideas in the Humanities, and he earned his Master’s from The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. He also has a California single subject teaching credential in English.
Andy began his time at Hamlin as an English teacher in 2012 and has also served as the Professional Development and Project Year Coordinator for Middle School, CAIS Accreditation Self-Study Coordinator, and Middle School Associate Division Head. Before coming to Hamlin, he taught Language Arts at KIPP Summit Academy, a charter middle school in San Lorenzo, and worked as a newspaper writer and editor in Michigan.
He lives in San Rafael with his wife, Lizzie, and their two children.
These trustees—my peers, colleagues, and friends—joined the board in 2019. By the end of their first year, they were navigating the early onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and faced a pivotal decision: whether to move forward with our bold and transformative campus construction project amid profound global uncertainty.
