Brian Louie P’23, P’28 was born and raised in the Bay Area, earning his B.A. and M.Ed at San Francisco State University. He currently lives in South San Francisco with his wife, Vicky, and their three children – Cameron (15), Chloe (12), and Cassidy (7). He always knew that he wanted to be an educator while spending the last 23 years as a Technology Coordinator, IT Director, and Maker and Design Teacher.
Brian’s hobbies include playing 6 different musical instruments (not at the same time), playing various sports, tinkering with technology, and playing board and role-playing games with his family. His involvement with the Hamlin student community runs deep as he facilitates student ALANA and coaches volleyball and basketball.
These trustees—my peers, colleagues, and friends—joined the board in 2019. By the end of their first year, they were navigating the early onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and faced a pivotal decision: whether to move forward with our bold and transformative campus construction project amid profound global uncertainty.
