Emily was born and raised in New York City. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Yale University in Political Science and her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Emily is the Chief Financial Officer for Instacart. Before joining Instacart in 2024, Emily spent nearly a decade at Uber, where she most recently served in a variety of finance and operational roles. Prior to Uber, she spent time in management consulting, private equity, and corporate strategy.
Emily has served on the board of Homeless Prenatal Program, a nationally-recognized family resource center in San Francisco that empowers homeless and low-income families, since 2021, and as treasurer since 2022.
Emily lives in Pacific Heights with her husband, Dan Reuter, and their two daughters, Ella, ’31, and Antonia (Toni) ‘32. She enjoys playing in the outdoors and travelling with her family.
