Leslie was born in Nashville and was raised mostly in New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University in Geography and International Relations where she serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Whiting School of Engineering, her MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Management from the University of Oxford, and her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Leslie is the co-founder and CEO of MIXT, a fast-casual restaurant chain that serves fresh, sustainably sourced, real food. MIXT has created the way to salad where fresh ingredients are combined in thoughtful ways and food connects the growers, makers, and enjoyers. MIXT started in San Francisco in 2006 and now has locations across California, Texas, and Arizona. Leslie was also the co-founder and CEO of Wello, a fitness technology company that delivers live workouts over two-way video with fitness professionals around the world. Wello was acquired by Weight Watchers International in 2014.
Leslie is deeply passionate about driving positive change through business and the connection between food, health, and wellness. Leslie lives in Russian Hill with her husband, daughter (Hamlin ‘29), and son (Town ‘31). As a family, they love to eat, play games, travel as much as possible, spend time with friends, garden, snowboard/ski, and water ski.
