Rishi Chandna was born and raised in Los Angeles. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Rishi is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital, which he joined in 2002. Rishi has spent his career investing in technology businesses and oversees the firm’s investments in the broader technology sector with an emphasis on enterprise software, technology enabled services, business services, and information services. Over the course of his career, Rishi has sat on the Board of Directors and Governance, Audit, and Compensation Committees of numerous companies including Infor Global Solutions, BMC, LiveVox, Ex Libris, Neustar, 2020, Vector Solutions, Securely, and Ensemble Health Partners. He has a passion for investing in education technology businesses.
Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Rishi worked at Bain & Company, Ernst & Young, and Parnassus Investments.
Rishi lives in San Francisco with his wife, Kristin, and their four children, a son and three daughters. The Chandna family loves to ski, hike, and play board games. Rishi is an avid runner and triathlete.
