Shellby was born and raised in San Francisco and attended Hamlin K-8th grade, class of 2006. After Hamlin, she attended Drew School and then Amherst College, where she graduated cum laude and as a QuestBridge scholar. She recently served on the alumni board for QuestBridge, an organization that supports high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds.
Her 10+ year career has been focused on people-centered work, including community building and client engagement. She currently leads Community for a membership for women focused on personal growth and development. Previously, she led Community & Member Engagement for a membership for women executives. She has held other roles in various industries, including Venture Capital and architectural design consulting.
Shellby now lives in Los Angeles with her fiance.
These trustees—my peers, colleagues, and friends—joined the board in 2019. By the end of their first year, they were navigating the early onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and faced a pivotal decision: whether to move forward with our bold and transformative campus construction project amid profound global uncertainty.
