Dan (he/him) grew up in Arlington, Virginia, but has lived in San Francisco off and on since 1996. He previously worked at Hamlin for 7 years (2013-2020) teaching social studies, facilitating a global citizenship program, and telling the “Hamlin Story” via social media. He most recently taught high school history at Harpeth Hall in Nashville, Tennessee. Dan has a BA in American Studies from Colby College and an MAT from Washington University in St. Louis. Dan is a poet/writer and has been published in Lion’s Roar Magazine, California Quarterly, and other publications. When not teaching, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
