As Director of Athletics & Outdoor Education, Fana enjoys creating opportunities for students in both athletics pursuits and the great outdoors. She believes that students should pursue physical activities that add to overall better physical and mental health.
In her P.E. classes, she wants students to learn and execute skills but also have fun, laugh and support others. Cooperative games are her favorite unit to teach as, the level of creativity is bountiful. As an avid climber, she is over the moon about managing the new climbing wall at Hamlin.
As a former Division 1, USA National Team and Professional athlete, she also understands what is required to play at a high and competitive level, while attempting to balance academics and everyday living. She is always open to discussion from parents and students who might want to know more about that life path.
In her spare time she can be found rock climbing, playing water polo, practicing on her drum kit, and spending quality time with her partner and 2 dogs in the mountains.
