Ms. Thornhill comes to Hamlin with extensive experience in advancement, formerly serving as Leadership Gifts Officer at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and having previously worked as the Associate Director of Development at the Exploratorium and Director of the Annual Fund at Scripps College.
She is an alumna of Scripps College, the prestigious all-women’s college which is a member of The Claremont Colleges. Thus, Hamlin’s longstanding mission to educate girls to meet the challenges of their time deeply resonates with her. Hailing from Annapolis, Maryland, Lauren moved to San Francisco in 2008 with her husband, Chase. Their daughter, Lily is a Hamlin student in the Class of 2027.
When I think about what has brought us to this moment, one feeling rises above all others: gratitude. Gratitude for the friendships formed, for the partnerships with Wanda, the leadership team, and my fellow trustees, and for the extraordinary faculty and staff who bring this school to life each day with intention, care, and heart, whether in the classroom, in the hallways, or in the quiet moments in between.
