Lisa (she/her) began her teaching career on September 10, 2001, profoundly shaping her approach to history. She taught for two decades at Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn Heights and holds advanced degrees from Northwestern University and Columbia University. Having graduated from National Cathedral School for Girls in Washington D.C, she has a deep-seated passion for girls’ education and is committed to empowering students during their formative years. Lisa has taught middle and high school history, creating interdisciplinary, inquiry-driven learning experiences. Outside of school, she enjoys running, hiking, and reading from the “100 Best Books of the 21st Century.” She is excited to join the Hamlin community, inspired by her niece Emma Singer’s (‘20) positive experiences here.
