Peter Westley P’13, P’15 is an experienced financial leader who has worked as an investment banker (Managing Director at Salomon Smith Barney), public and private equity investor (Managing Partner at Blum Capital Partners), and Chief Financial Officer at a publicly traded company, CuriosityStream Inc. He has also served on a variety of public, private, and nonprofit boards, including serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Avid Technology, Inc. Peter is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has had a lifelong passion for education, including his work as an author of a reference book for writers (The Bibliophile’s Dictionary, published under his pen/middle name), as a leader at CuriosityStream (a factual content video streaming company founded by John Hendricks, the founder of the Discovery Channel), and as a teacher of a financial literacy course for middle and high school students. Both of his children, Syd and Allie, attended and graduated from Hamlin, and he has been delighted to return to the school as its CFOO. Peter was born in Redwood City, but grew up in northern New Jersey. He returned to the Bay Area in 1989 to attend business school, and has loved living here ever since. Peter and his wife, Lisa, live in Tiburon with their shiba inu, Kuma.
