Charlotte Milan was born in San Francisco and attended The Hamlin School from Kindergarten through Grade 8, followed by St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a double major in Arab and Terrorist Studies from Georgetown University.
She founded C. Milan Communications, a media relations and strategic consulting firm for the wine industry, in 2004. Since the company’s inception, Charlotte has worked with the wine industry’s leaders and innovators, helping them define, craft, and share their message with media outlets ranging from Forbes, Bloomberg Businessweek and The New York Times to Robb Report, Travel & Leisure, and Food & Wine.
Charlotte has represented and launched a variety of wineries and luxury hospitality clients around the globe, including Bryant Family Vineyard, Bella Oaks, Dana Estates, Melka Estates, Cliff Lede Vineyards, Poetry Inn, and Mayacama Golf and Lodging Club. Other clients include wine personalities such as Andy Beckstoffer and Philippe Melka, as well as leading wine organizations and businesses, such as the Court of Master Sommeliers, Americas, Beckstoffer Vineyards, and the Rare Wine Co.
She has served on Hamlin’s Alumni Board since 2009 and was a member of the Board of Directors at Playgroup, the preschool her son Grey attended. She lives in Presidio Heights with her son and enjoys hiking, cooking, dining out, Barry’s Bootcamp, and traveling with her son.
