Monserrat (Monse) Jaramillo is originally from a small city in Southern California – Hawthorne – where she attended both public and private schools. She received her B.A. in Creating Educational Equity in 2016 and M.A. in Learning and Teaching (along with multiple subject teaching credentials) in 2018 from the University of Redlands. She is an extremely energetic person who enjoys learning from kids as much as she does teaching them!
Monse is the daughter of extremely hard working Mexican immigrants and is a native Spanish speaker. She has over 5 years of experience as a lead classroom teacher, although she has worked with kids in many capacities and settings for the past 10 years. Monse is most passionate about developing systems that ensure equity in the classroom and bridging the gap between academic and socio-emotional learning. She strives to create a community of learners that nurtures growth in a positive, fun environment while maintaining appropriate expectations.
